Position Summary & Responsibilities:
This position will directly oversee the division supervisors assigned. This includes but not limited to the responsibility of quality of goods manufactured or services rendered. Incumbent will establish manufacturing cost, monitor expenses, evaluate shop effectiveness, flow of orders, communication, cost of goods sold, and estimate future sales and projects. Develop long range plans / programs for industries to include but not limited to coordinate / assist with development of new products and prototypes. Incumbent will supervise the warehouse storage, raw material, shipping, receiving and delivery. This responsibility begins when an order is received from the Marketing/Sales Department and continues until the product or service has been delivered. This task relates to time physically spent in the divisions working with the division supervisors and their subordinates. Incumbent will act as a liaison between the management of the facilities in which the industries are located and individual division supervisors. Responsible for resident workers in at all custody levels at all divisions assigned. Responsible for agreements with the management of each facility involved regarding work hours, days of operation, security and compliance to facility rules and standards.

Incumbent will assist the Correctional Industries Manager Sr in planning, organizing, and directing to provide meaningful and productive work experience and training for unskilled and semi-skilled residents in the assembly, inventory, shipping and receiving, and installation of office furniture, components, and panels systems, for KCI at off-site locations. Incumbent will oversee resident work crews in day-to-day operations of Warehouse 52.

This position promotes products and services provided by KCI to include PIE certified shops, KCI Traditional shops, to other state agencies, federal agencies, cities, counties, schools, churches and selected non-for-profit agencies located in the state of Kansas. All Sales Representatives share responsibility for a vast geographical area within the state. Products promoted include, but are not limited to, all paint products, traffic signage, custom metal products, janitorial products, office furniture, dormitory furniture, office seating, lounge seating, ergonomic products, office panel systems, resident clothing, mattresses, and printed products. Offering advice for improvements as needed.
